Haven for Hope

Haven for Hope Dermatology Clinic is a student-faculty collaborative practice focused on serving persons experiencing homelessness, the uninsured, and the underinsured living at Haven for Hope and in the San Antonio area at large.

The clinic is staffed by MD and PA students under the supervision of UTHSCSA physicians and provides student learners with exposure to the needs and circumstances of these vulnerable populations.

Clinic is held every other Thursday from 6-9 pm and is located next door to the Haven for Hope campus in the Restoration Center.

Please park in the parking lot behind Entrance C. The parking lot is located off Morales Street. You can then enter through Entrance C off North Medina Street.

Volunteer Cancellation Policy

Please note that the cancellation policy for student volunteers is as follows: we understand things happen and situations come up. However, it is very difficult to provide the best care for these families short-handed, which is why we enforce a strict cancellation policy.

You may cancel your volunteer session so long as you do so > 48 hours before your scheduled shift.

Should you cancel after the 48-hour period, you MUST find a replacement and notify the student leader as soon as possible. Failure to comply will place you on one-month probation from all clinics.
